I am above all a storyteller with artistic roots in theater and arts activism. It all starts with the telling of a story. The stories we are told to make sense of the world. The perspectives we develop throughout our lifetime. The stories that are elevated. The stories left untold. The stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we’re capable of. It’s all a story. When you start to develop your craft as a storyteller, you get in touch with your own innate power to tell your own story: past, present, and future. Stories can be crafted to hurt or to heal. Let’s choose healing and the stories we tell intentionally.

I have been on my own healing journey after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2020. The stories doctors told me was that I was very young to be diagnosed with this disease, that I needed to go heavy on the medication if I wanted any chance to save my quality of life, and that I’ve already lost precious time. I decided to choose a different story. After doing my own research and enlisting doctors that would support my desire to heal holistically, I have transformed my health through primarily diet and lifestyle changes. Today all of my symptoms are in remission. My storytelling skills began in the theater, telling other people’s stories, but today I am more often telling my own story with the hope that what I’ve learned can help someone else.
